Frequently Asked Questions

An element or object is a discrete component of a device or a software component that has one or more performance indicators that can be monitored, trended or alerted on. In SevOne, an element is considered any performance object, including the following:
• Interface
• CPU, memory type, or disk
• ICMP address
• DNS domain name
• HTTP address
• Process or a VM
• Java MBean
• Proxy Ping
• IP SLA test, or a
• Deferred data object

Any performance indicator associated with an element/object is part of that element and is not considered in the calculation of the number of elements supported, because they refer to totally different things. Typically, anything that ends in the same SNMP index (for example, ".3") will be grouped together as an element, provided that the metrics make sense together. For example, "ifInOctets.3" and "ifOutOctets.3" are both grouped together under one interface, but "ifInOctets.3" and "hrStorageUsed.3" cannot be grouped together

Deze is over het algemeen aanzienlijk korter dan die van anderen omdat geen voorbereidende werkzaamheden moet worden uitgevoerd. O.a. Windows, databases, patching, enz. Bij een kleine installatie praten we over enkele dagen.
